The time has come for Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative to energize, test and put load on the new Oregon Inlet bridge transmission cables. Please note that Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands will be on generator service Wednesday, February 27 and Thursday, February 28. It may be necessary to conduct one or more planned outages over the next several weeks while Cape Hatteras Electric works to make the final switch to the new cables.

An advance notice will be issued when planned outage details are known.
