Unfortunately, forecasts show that 90+°F days are still on the horizon. As a result of this intense and prolonged period of extreme heat, some members are no doubt receiving their highest electric bills ever.
The situation is compounded for members who are billed mid-month. For example, if we retrieved your billing meter reading on August 15, your 30 days of service would include 22 days in which temperatures were 90+°F. Many members in those mid-month to end-of-month billing cycles will receive their highest summer electric bills ever.

Sometimes those pre-existing problems don't grab our attention until a record setting electric bill arrives. That's why we implore each of our members to utilize the member portal and our high energy use alert service.
